SHIPPED SEMEN STALLION SERVICE CONTRACT

This certifies_____________________________ (Owner/Agent name) herein referred as to the Mare Owner, has engaged one breeding to__________________________ (Stallion Name)

BSB R11 Quarter Horses, agent for the above named stallion, will herein be referred to as Breeder.
This service is engaged subject to the following:
1. A Booking fee of $_______ is payable with this contract. The balance of $__________ is due before semen will be shipped. (Which includes first shipment fee.)
2. A Photostated copy of registration papers (both sides) shall be sent to Breeder with this contract.
3. Breeder will ship to each mare only three times per breeding year. lf the mare fails to conceive after 3 shipments, she must he sent to the Breeder for breeding.
4. We highly recommend sending our mare to a vet clinic or breeding farm for her heat cycle. They will coordinate optimum shipping times with us.
5. After first shipment, shipped semen charges will be $250.00. Mare Owner is responsible for returning the container to the Breeder at Mare Owner’s expense.
6. The breeding season in force for this contract shall begin February 1 and close June 30th of the year on the contract.
7. Live Foal Guarantee: Live foal means the foal shall stand and nurse. It is understood that if the mare proves barren, aborts her foal, or if foal is still born, a return season will be guaranteed for the following year only at the Breeder’s facility, providing proper notification is given. Proper notification shall be defined as follows:
Written certification by a licensed veterinarian within seven days that the mare has slipped or produced a nonviable foal Mare Owner certifies that such abortion or death did not result from any act or omission of the Owner subsequent to the mare’s departure from Breeder Booster rhinopneumonitis vaccinations must be administered as indicated by the individual drug manufacturer as the mare progresses through her pregnancy. Failure to do this will void the Live Foal Guarantee.
9. Should the above named stallion die or become unfit for service, or if the above name mare should die during the breeding season, then the Mare Owner may substitute another mare breed to another stallion standing at the Breeder’s facility that is agreed to by both the Mare Owner and the Breeder.
10. A breeder’s certificate will be issued to Mare Owner after all the expenses have been paid in full and upon notification of birth of the foal.
11. This contract is governed by the state of Michigan.
12. This contract is not valid unless completed in full. When Mare Owner signs and returns contract and booking fee to Breeder, Breeder will notify Mare owner within 10 days of approval. Upon notification, it will become a binding contract on both parties, subject to the above terms and conditions.
13. Because of the cost and demand for containers during the breeding season, ALL containers must be returned by NEXT DAY AIR (FedEx, UPS, etc ) If the container is not returned and/or has not arrived at BSB R11Quarter Horses 3 days after being shipped to mare owner, then a late fee of $100.00 will be placed on your account.
14. Ordering and confirming the availability of shipped semen is the Mare Owners responsibility
  A. The Stallion will be collected on BREEDING DAYS ONLY, beginning February 1st through June 30th. There will be NO ADDITIONAL collections. (Contact the farm for each month’s breeding days.)
  B. Advance notice of general shipment date is required to guarantee the availability of shipped semen.
  C. Once anticipated shipment date has been established, a CONFIRMED Shipped Semen order MUST BE MADE BEFORE 5 p.m. EST on the day before the collection day, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS!
